Confluence Query Language

Confluence Query Language (CQL) is a query language developed by Atlassian for Confluence, a content collaboration tool that integrates closely with Jira. CQL is designed to help users search and retrieve specific content within Confluence pages, such as text, tasks, labels, properties, and attachments. It enables precise querying capabilities that go beyond simple keyword searches, allowing users to construct complex queries based on specific page attributes, metadata, and relationships.

CQL supports a variety of conditions and operators, enabling sophisticated filtering to locate exactly the content needed. For example, a user could construct a query to find all pages that contain a certain label and were modified within a specific time frame, or locate content authored by a specific team member. CQL can be particularly useful for large organizations with extensive Confluence sites, where navigating and managing a vast amount of content efficiently is crucial.
