The model was first introduced by psychologist Bruce Tuckman in 1965 and consists of four primary stages: Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing. Later, a fifth stage called Adjourning was added. In the Norming stage, the group establishes agreements and roles, enhancing cooperation. During Performing, the group reaches high efficiency and effectiveness.
